Dr. Kathy H. Guidry

Dr. Kathy Guidry received her undergraduate degree from LSU in Baton Rouge and her Doctorate of Medicine from LSU in New Orleans. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at LSU Charity Hospital in New Orleans and Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge where she served as Chief Resident. She received training in general and high risk obstetrics and gynecology as well as laparoscopy, fertility and advanced surgery. She is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Guidry specializes in minimally invasive surgeries including Novasure endometrial ablation and DaVinci robotic assisted procedures. She has held many leadership positions at Woman's Hospital including Chief of Obstetrics in 2001 and 2016, and Chief of Staff in 2019. She also served one year on the Woman's Hospital Board of Directors in 2019. Dr. Guidry also participated for many years in the District Attorney's Rape Crisis Intervention Team as a physician examiner.

Dr. Guidry is married to Kevin Guidry. They have two children, Matthew and Emily. Dr Guidry enjoys traveling, hiking, and skiing. She is also a voracious reader and enjoys hand quilting in her spare time.
